Not everyone has a large garden, an allotment, a vegetable plot to grow vegetables.
That doesn’t mean you can’t still grow a few home-grown, fresh vegetables when you want them. If you have room for a pot, grow bag, or even a window box.of any size then there is nothing to stop you from having a go at growing your own.
I have grown Arran Pilot for the last 20 years and have never been disappointed. Probably the best tasting potato even if yielding a little less than some newer varieties.

Superb 'New Potato' flavour. Early, good cropping, and the variety that the commercial growers wish they could grow (they dont keep their flavour for long enough for the supermarket chains to be interested) If you want to try an Early new potato to beat the 'Jersey Royals' for flavour Arron Pilot is you answer !

We always grow this variety. We usually find we can be digging early and they are unbeatable for taste when dug as new potatoes.

Grew this variety last year and they gave a good crop of reasonable size tubers so I decided to grow them again this year.
I got a bit ahead of things and gambled on planting early - mid Feb two days later they forecast that cold spell we had, thought they would be had by the frost and cold weather but today 24/4/13 6 plants have started to push through the earth.
Am very happy and will buy them again next year.
Ps my kids love them boiled with butter melted over them.

Tried and tested over time and my first choice on a light well drained soil. Reasonable size tubers and they do not improve if left in to mid season. A good tasting early.
