A recent introduction, Cucumber Merlin is a heavy yielding all female cucumber variety that is probably the best of its type available to the home garden market.
Being parthenocarpic, this variety is a reliable producer of delicious fruits best picked at 15 - 17cm long.
It is a powdery mildew resistant variety, which when picked regularly produces lots of medium size fruits of 15-18cm long. The cucumbers are slightly ribbed, cylindrical and dark green. Merlin shows good resistance to powdery mildew, and some resistance of mosaic virus and downy mildew.
Best for use in the greenhouse or polytunnel in the UK. Harvesting time will depend on sowing time and growing conditions.
