Packet of Cucumber Merlin SeedsA recent introduction, Cucumber Merlin is a heavy yielding all female cucumber variety that is probably the best of its type available to the home garden market.

Being parthenocarpic, this variety is a reliable producer of delicious fruits best picked at 15 - 17cm long.

It is a powdery mildew resistant variety, which when picked regularly produces lots of medium size fruits of 15-18cm long. The cucumbers are slightly ribbed, cylindrical and dark green. Merlin shows good resistance to powdery mildew, and some resistance of mosaic virus and downy mildew.

Best for use in the greenhouse or polytunnel in the UK. Harvesting time will depend on sowing time and growing conditions.

This is a great cucumber. We like our cucumbers small and tasty - Iranian style - and Merlin fits the bill perfectly. A good strong growing plant that produced dozens of delicious cucumbers. Our three plants gave us cucumbers for 3 months and in mid September they are still producing. Top class variety that I can fully recommend and will be growing again next year.
