Beetroot Seeds

Growing Beetroot from seeds is fairly easy, and this along with its short growing period has made growing beetroot very popular with amateur gardeners. Beetroot has plenty of uses in the kitchen and being easy to store, means that you are not likely to waste much of the harvest.

Sow the seeds in small batches on a regular basis until the summer for use fresh. If you want your beetroot to store for use over winter then sow in the early summer. Beetroot is tolerant of most soil types, growing especially well in a well drained soil that holds moisture in the summer. They can also be grown in raised beds and containers if you only have a small garden.
