Pack of 1, commercial grade Garlic Bulbs: Lautrec Wight
Lautrec Wight is the most versatile of hardnecks, and can be planted autumn or early spring but dislikes wet conditions. Therefore best grown in the southern half of England.Originally from near Toulouse, it is held by French gourmands as the best tasting of all French garlic. It is white skinned, but pink cloved, When harvested in June, it will keep until February*** All hardneck garlic produce a flowering stalk which is “the hardneck”. Snap this off as soon as it appears and use in stirfries. This can result in a doubling of the size of the bulb. ***
I tried this last year as part of a bed rotation and it produced, firm, healthy bulbs with a lovely flavour - excellent!
Largest cloves I've ever seen coupled with a very fast and efficient service will definitely use again.
Loved the scapes in a pesto end May this year, which then let the bulbs grow bigger. Will order again
Large cloves - easy to use in the kitchen, will order again this year
Overwinter this in the polytunnel, harvest in about June. Big juicy cloves, lovely big bulbs
This will be my third time using this variety and never had any problems, tastes great!
The best garlic in terms of overall eating and keeping quality.
November to January planting best but crops well from end March planting.
Considered the most successful of all hardnecks in UK...
Plant from September to February for best yield.
