Tomato Big League is a unique new determinate tomato with very large (400-600g) beefsteak fruits.

Bred with this purpose in mind, Big League is perfect for a large patio container, reaching a final height of approximately 120cm, and produces the largest fruit of any true container type to date.

Because of the sheer weight of the fruit, Big League will require support. Harvesting time will depend on sowing time and growing conditions.

Great tomato
Monday, 7 December 2015  |  Cliff

Great tomato to grow in a greenhouse. As described, they stop growing around the three feet level and put out four or five trusses with an average of 4 tomatoes on each truss. Big firm tasty fruit which is great for salads or sandwiches, and they keep for quite a few days in the fridge without going soft. No problems with growing them, no blight or rot, and would highly recommend giving them a try. I grew them about a foot apart in a bed and they seemed happy with that. Very thick foliage so worth cutting some leaves off as the tomatoes start to swell up, and you really do have to tie the plants to some support to take the weight of the fruit.
