Kohl Rabi Delicacy Purple is an early maturing purple variety with round shaped stems and good quality, delicate flesh. It is resistant to bolting, stem splitting and lignification. Maturity time from sowing to harvest is typically 75-80 days.

Kohl Rabi is a fairly quick crop to grow and you can start picking from when the bulb is larger than 5cm in size.

General Kohl Rabi Growing Tips

Although popular in Europe, Kohl Rabi is not that common a vegetable in the UK. It tastes somewhere between a cabbage and turnip and is a tasty addition when grated into coleslaw or salads. Don't sow too many at once, it is best sown little and often throughout the Spring and Summer for staggered cropping.

Kohl Rabi is a member of the brassica family so treat as such for crop rotation purposes.
